My sweet boy,I'm sure you
knew,
What a special day yesterday was here on earth.
From east to west and north to south,
Stars were lit for those like you.
Throughout the day the tears
fell,
As we saw more and more stars appear.
We joined together to celebrate your lives,
We were as one as all of us would later tell.
Now there's
a star for each one not here,
Many we knew, some we did not.
Our love for all came shining through,
To let you know we need to feel near.
As the darkness came,
I know our eyes were held to the skies.
Knowing from this day forward,
Heaven would never be the same.
Whether cloudy or clear,
I'm sure we all saw.
The star of our own,
And of those never held dear.
Which star was yours, sweet Murph?
It was one of two.
A solitary one through the clouds,
Or the one falling to earth.
Which one was yours, I may never know,
That may be your secret for all time.
I do know from this day on,
Our love for those with wings will continue to grow.
So look down from the sky tonight, sweet one,
And shine brightly as of last.
Knowing I am looking up,
And that our eternity has just begun.
9-18-02......for my sweet Murph.....shine brightly and
be careful with those wings......Love forever, Mom
